About Michelle

Michelle Hughes is a professional Dancer, Model and Actress based in Cape Town with experience in the local and international industry. Over the years she has obtained a degree in Film and Media, specialising in Screen Production as well as a qualification in Events Management. She has also trained as a dancer in both New York City and Los Angeles.

Michelle has danced in the international series Black Mirror, in a music video alongside Miley Cyrus, and in international television commercials for Meerkat Movies, Apoteket and Mercedes. She has worked as a model for AOK Germany, Zando, Yuri Arcurs and Moose Films as well as other local brands. While her professional career started by cheerleading for a state sports team in stadiums, she continues to work in the corporate entertainment industry where she can perform live. Her style range includes Commercial, Street Jazz, Hip Hop, Ballet, Contemporary, Jazz, Tap, Musical Theatre, Choreography, Partner Work, Creative and Movement Direction.

Michelle’s latest project, The Hideout Collective started as a desire to connect with more artists and build genuine community. This platform aims to tell stories with the quality and attention to detail they deserve through film and photography.
